AIGA South Carolina is the statewide, local chapter of AIGA, the professional association for design (aiga.org).
Since 2004 AIGA South Carolina has striven to stimulate, enhance, and develop the graphic design profession in South Carolina. The association has been host to a wide range of inspirational speakers including Chip Kidd, Michael Beruit, James Victore, Stefan Sagmeister, Sean Adams, and most recently Ellen Lupton. Another large part of AIGA South Carolina's programming are the educational events and programs include workshops, lectures, and student events such as the annual portfolio review.
As it is one of the few state chapters in the the association AIGA SC strives to create a design community of beginning and more seasoned designers be they professional, teacher, or student. Our current initiative is to unite the four corners of South Carolina in design as well as helping to bring designers from the periphery of society to the center.
